Alaska So Far...

Boyd and I have been here for a little over a month now. Just to give you some background info; we live in Wasilla, which is apart of the Mat-Su Valley. Mat-Su is short for Matanuska-Susitna. Those are two rivers here in the valley. There is a Target and a Wal-Mart about 5 minutes from our house. A gallon of milk is 2.99 and there is no such thing as a "Dollar Menu". Sad times, but fast food is not good for you anyways. Things are going really well. : ) Boyd's work is definately keeping him busy and entertained. He is working nights right now, but no weekends! I have a job at the busiest chiropractic office in the valley. The people there are really nice, and the office is always busy. The chiropractors that work there also deal with sports medicine so they deal with all of the student athletes as well. They also have a physical therapy unit in part of the building. I've only worked there a week and so far I am just learning the basics, but eventually I will be able to take patients back and do all the paper work and assessments before the doctor comes in. It is getting dark around 9:30 now, and the temperature is around 65 if it's not raining. There are alot of things to do and see up here, some of them are closer than others. We have seen some moose, a llama, and a dead porcupine, but so far that is it. The caribou are about to migrate, and are now in season. They are a little further north so we have not seen any yet. We have been to the Matanuska Glacier and Hatcher's Pass, which are not too far from where we live. We have made some friends up here, mainly people who are in training with Boyd. They are all really nice and we keep each other entertained on the weekends. That is all for now! Stay tuned for more pictures and videos!!
